I first stumbled upon Mama’esh thanks to my early morning runs with the 5:30 AM Run Club. Huge shoutout to their founder, Fouad, who’s built an incredible community that kicks off Sundays with an early run at Kite Beach, followed by yoga, stretching, and then a well-earned breakfast at Mama’esh Al Manara. Back then, I was too caught up enjoying the food and vibing with the crew to really take in what makes Mama’esh so special.
But after visiting several of their locations, I finally realized what sets it apart—it’s designed to feel like home. There’s this effortless, laid-back energy to that place, especially if you’re Arab. The little touches—the olive oil bottles, za’atar bags, and pomegranate molasses. They’re staples in every Arab pantry, and seeing them just feels... right.
Oh, and here’s something you might not know about me—I’m really passionate about sustainability. So, I love it when brands go the extra mile for the environment. Mama’esh walks the talk: they’re a homegrown UAE concept, use organic flour, serve fresh (never frozen!) ingredients, and even offer free water and bread—plus unlimited tea refills!
It really is the little things that count.
Speaking of little things, their chalkboard quotes are adorable, and even their wet wipes have a message: "Preserving our blessings is a form of gratitude. Feel free to ask for a takeaway pack for your leftovers.” How wholesome is that?! 🥹 These small gestures stick with you and shape the way you remember a place—and how you rave about it to your friends.
We still haven’t talked about the food! Their breakfasts are Top-tier. But I also can’t get enough of their Yaffawi Sfeha, Eid Bread, Sage Tea, and Ghazzawi Kunafah Rolls—each dish a beautiful tribute to Palestinian heritage. (Seriously, just thinking about them makes me drool 🤤).
So, if you haven’t been to Mama’esh yet… what are you waiting for?! Let me know when you do—and tell me what you loved the most! 😍
